Academic Advising
Make sure to stay on track and meet with your academic advisor. We are here to help you make decisions regarding your academic progress. We can work with you in three ways: appointment, walk-in advising, and email. If you would like to make an appointment, please use our advisor appointment system. Make an Appointment
- Students can schedule an appointment online with your advisor. Appointments are available to schedule one week in advance.
What to bring to your appointment
- A DARS SAPR with your name and Student ID printed on it. Find out how to print your SAPR.
- Questions for your advisor
- Transfer course transcripts or course descriptions, or Study Abroad course descriptions
Possible Topics to discuss during an Advising Appointment
- Degree requirements for your major, minor, and general education courses
- University policies and procedures, dates and deadlines that impact your educational program
- Transfer, AP, IB and CLEP credits and how they apply to your degree requirements
- Study Abroad
- Degree Checks
- NCAA Requirements
- Student Exchange Programs
Walk-ins
Walk-in hours are available Monday thru Thursday in the summer. Please bring a DARS SAPR that includes your name and Student ID printed on it. For hours and availability check the advising appointment system

Change of Major
If you want to change your major to Communication, you must attend an orientation FIRST. Click here to see the orientation dates and times.
