Prof. Katherine Morrissey has received a National Endowment for the Humanities
grant for "Nature and History at the Nation's Edge: A Field Institute in Environmental and Borderlands History." Designated a NEH "We the People" project, the month-long summer 2009 institute will bring 20 faculty experts together with 25 university and college faculty from around the country to the University of Arizona, for study and travel through the arid lands and historical landscapes of Arizona, New Mexico and Sonora, Mexico.
