    2009 Summer Lecture Series

    2009 Summer Lecture Series
    Four Graduate Students from the University of Arizona's History department will be giving lectures on the theme "Pilgrimage" in the Bloom Music Center at St. Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church, 440 N. Campbell Avenue. The lectures are on Sunday mornings, and begin at 10:15.

    The dates, speakers and subjects are as follows:

    July 26: Sean Clark
    Umbilicus Mundi: Jerusalem as a Medieval Pilgrimage Destination.


    August 2: Paul Buehler
    Roma Caput Mundi:Pilgrimage to Rome in the Middle Ages


    August 9: Amy Newhouse
    Another Tale of Canterbury


    August 16: Elizabeth Ellis-Marino
    To the End of the Earth: The Camino de Santiago in Medieval and Modern Times
