Cactus Garden in front of Administration Building, The University of Arizona History Department

    Introduction

Every year there are approximately 400 students majoring in History at the University of Arizona. Among these are some 40 Honors students. Another 100 students are enrolled in programs leading to M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in History. The Department's thirty-three ranked faculty members specialize in many fields of history, including African, Asian, European, Latin American, Middle East, and United States history. We also offer several courses in women's and gender history that cut across these geographical fields.

    Advising

Your advisor will help you plan your program, advise you on career opportunities for History majors, and answer questions about requirements. You do not have to make an appointment and YOU SHOULD SEE AN ADVISOR AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR.
